Seeking contract legal professionals



The Green Hills Women’s Shelter is seeking attorneys to provide legal services to Shelter clients in dissolution, paternity, modification, and adult abuse actions in Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Harrison, Grundy, Livingston, Mercer, Putnam, and Sullivan counties. The legal services will be paid by the Shelter pursuant to a grant awarded to the Shelter. The applicant attorney(s) will be selected on the following criteria:

  • Experience in providing legal services to survivors of domestic violence;
  • Experience in the areas of dissolution, paternity, modification, and adult abuse actions;
  • Experience adhering to strict litigation budgets and delivering legal services in a cost-effective manner;
  • Experience practicing law in the above-listed legal jurisdictions;
  • Availability to take on the representations, including handling emergency matters on short notice;
  • Proposed fees for providing the legal services, including whether matters would be handled on a flat fee or hourly basis. Please note that, while the proposed fee will be considered, the legal services contract will not necessarily be awarded to the lowest bidder.
