Victim Advocate Specialist
The Victim Advocate Specialist is responsible for assisting survivors of domestic and sexual violence with program services, advocacy, and support to survivors qualifying for the intensive support services program. The Victim Advocate Specialist is also responsible for providing advocacy, program services and support to domestic and sexual violence through all aspects of recovery whether personal, medical, legal or other areas; as well as coordinating with community partners including law enforcement, court personnel, medical professionals, or others employed by social service organizations, in addition to the general public, to increase awareness and promote prevention of domestic and sexual violence within the given catchment area. Fill In Staff Members Desired (PRN Position):
Are you looking for some supplemental income? We need staff that have availability to help occasionally fill in for our full time staff members. These shifts are dependent on the selected availability of each applicant, meaning you tell us when you are available. For instance, If we call and ask you to help with a shift you can let us know if you are available to help out or not. This position offers much flexibility.
Our PRN positions are on an as needed basis to assist full time staff members with holiday time off, vacations, staff vacancies, and other holes in our schedules. The hours will not be consistent and will include nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is responsible for supervision of the shelter facility and clients, communication with on call staff members, accepting phone calls on a crisis hotline and business line, taking messages, completing paperwork, accepting and documenting donations, and providing a trauma centered environment for shelter residents and their children. This position can include short and longer weekend shifts that may involve overnight stays dependent on each applicants availability.
This position pays 9.00/hour week day, 7.85/sleep shift, and 11.00/hour for weekends/holidays. For Cameron openings please contact Tammy or Casey at 816-632-4900 or email email@example.com. Green Hills Women’s Shelter is currently seeking a licensed counselor/ therapist to provide individualized counseling sessions.
